Engineered for the US Department of Defense the Innovega lenses called iOptic help a usual person being focused on a close-up object and a background one at the same time. The middle of the pupil will see the foreground while its edge will be seeing the reasonably distant horizon with the brain processing both images easily. This system also includes the HUD, which is a pair of glasses used to display images. These lenses are available for military purposes for now, and may be put for consumer sale in 2014.
