Motorola Solutions’ HC1 is a head-mounted computer, which now retails at $4000. The HC1 runs Windows CE, it is powered by a TI OMAP 3 microprocessor and requires a WiFi network to function. It was designed for industrial and military purposes for its user to keep a plan or schematics handy, but keep your arms free at the same time: a small SVGA display hovers right underneath the user’s eye. There’s a 9-axis accelerometer with a digital compass to track head movements. The wearable computer features an optional camera, capable of 1080p at 30fps, so you can easily record everything you see.
