You know that sellers resort to various tricks to attract shoppers and determine the customer behavior. We’ve already told you about the NeoFace technology, and here is one of the latest technologies, which is now being tested in Japan, very similar to the one showed in the movie Minority Report starring Tom Cruise. The cameras on the digital billboards determine the age and sex of passers-by and then display relevant products. Developers say that images of faces are erased at once, still it fears some consumers that the billboards will record their expressions and responses to the ads. Omaid Hiwaizi, a digital advertising expert, reports “Although it may seem scary, it’s no more sinister than retailers using cookies online to see what items you’ve looked at on their websites.“
