The Futuristic M-City Project

Vladimir Plotkin And Roberto Meyer present a non-traditional building approach, a multifunctional structure, rising by piling housing blocks on top of each other. Making use of the tower typology, inspired by the classical Greek architecture, the project features the stylobate, stepped platform on which colonnades of columns are placed. The stucture is pierced with triangular gaps of multi-level atria and open-air courtyards, forming an outline of the letter “M”. The 9-story platform supports three 23-story triangular blocks located at a 20-50 meters distance from one another (two towers are occupied by offices, and one – by apartments). The roofs of these three buildings support another pair of 19-story high triangular houses (both of the two top towers are apartment buildings).
The M-City project features a 3-level underground parking garage, four parking levels above the ground, a hotel and a shopping area. Higher up, the stylobate houses multi-level offices, which are covered with a glass grid and decorated with hanging plants.
