The collaboration between NEC Biglobe and Vuzix created the ‘see through augmented reality’ or STAR glasses. This wearable display also functioning like simple glass goggles are claimed to recognize people and match them based on Facebook and Twitter profiles. Hence, you can use their virtual 3D widescreen and still look around as you walk. The STAR frame holds earphones and can be connected to a wide range of gizmos via the USB cable. The frame is all sides and sizes adjustable. The STAR has integrated camera and can establish a wireless connection with the NEC Biglobe servers. That is a huge step forward as this device will be able to exploit all cloud computing advantages.
