First Solar-Powered Intercontinental Flight Completed

Solar Impulse airplane, piloted by Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg, has completed the world first intercontinental flight on solar energy. The flight from Spain to Morocco covered 515 miles and lasted almost 20 hours, however the solar airplane landed with a full set of batteries. That is a huge step towards the confidence in a new technology, believes one of the pilots.
