Kopin Corporation has recently designed the innovative Golden-i platform including different wearable headset computers operated by voice commands and head movements. It enables users to access virtually any information in any working environment and is aimed at improving productivity, efficiency and safety in the light industrial sector.The Golden-i devices combine a speech controlled user interface and head-tracking functionality, thus enabling the user to carry out common computer functions and keep their hands free. These devices come pre-loaded with a number of Gi-OS applications like E-mail Center, Ask Ziggy, Web Browser and File Explorer. Golden-i headset computers have Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi and USB connectivity with a near-eye heads-up display and near-ear speaker. The new Gen 3.8 headset computer has been developed to support and guide the user at any moment without a stop. The user can control multiple independent devices or networks simultaneously including PCs, mobile phones and company servers – in more than 38 languages. Golden-i headsets also feature a digital compass and GPS, 3D graphics accelerators and a 18650 Li-ion battery that will last 8+ hours. Thanks to the Golden-i built-in 14MP camera the user can take still images and record HD video.
