Target will launch an in-store, app-based QR code program on 14th October, aiming at managing sales of this holiday season’s top 20 toys and adding convenience to the holiday shopping experience. With the help of the QR codes shoppers can scan-to-purchase items and get the selected goods shipped free to any U.S. address. Among the other benefits of this program are that it will help minimize showrooming and allow shoppers to purchase items immediately, even when they are out of stock. To use the program, shoppers will have to download the Target app at first, which also features an enhanced digital wish list.
