Microsoft SemanticMap: User Specific Augmented Reality

Microsoft SemanticMap, future device, Augmented Reality
SemanticMap is technology allowing physical appearance change based on a certain user, their location and what that person is looking for. This augmented reality tool does not require to use any special equipment and utilizes three key bits of technology that Microsoft is developing.  “There are no current plans to deploy the current scenario as a new Microsoft product,” says Sergio Paolantonio, senior research designer with the Human-Computer Interaction Group at Microsoft Research Asia in Beijing. However, we can see how the technology could be used not just for showing direction in the shop but for games, marketing campaigns and what not.
