The ACM-R5 is an amphibious robot resembling a snake designed by the Japanese researchers at the Hirose Fukishima Lab. It features an advanced control system, each joint can move independently thanks to its own CPU, battery and motors. You can see ACM-R5 swim around in a pool in the video below.
