Electric Motorcycle By Frog Design
eBike concept by Cisco-based Frog Design momentarily strikes a viewer with a symbolic void in place of a traditional engine. The electric motor is located in the hubless rear wheel. Also remarkable are such features as the fly-by-wire steering system, a helmet, always connected to the Internet with heads-up display, retina and voice controls, and an OLED digital instrument panel. Further, Jin Seok Hwang, Senior Industrial Designer explains: “The entire bottom chassis is dedicated to storing battery cells. This location lowers the bikes center of gravity, creating an extremely stable ride. Because the motorcycle’s speed is controlled directly by the power to the electric motor, virtually all other major mechanical components of a traditional motorcycle are no longer required.”
