3D Printed Bone Used For Transplantation. The First Time.
The first 3D printed lower jaw bone was transplanted to a human in the Netherlands. The jaw was printed out of titanium powder by LayerWise (Belgium) and covered with bio-ceramics. On the day after the operation the patient could already speak. The 3D printing may become a blessing for medical sphere as well as in many more industries in future.
