The Centre for the Mind at the University of Sydney had submitted to Neuroscience Letters the study, published back in May. The study demonstrates that electrical brain stimulation can make you temporarily smarter and more creative. The following classical nine dots problem is a difficult task where to solve it you have to connect the nine dots by drawing four straight, continuous lines without lifting a pencil from paper. Most of the people, as well as none of the subjects of the study couldn’t solve this problem after a few minutes of trying. However, when half of the test group was equipped with an electrode cap providing feeble electrical stimulation to the brains, 40 % of the subjects were able to right away figure the decision out.
