Volvo Is Pro-Pedestrian Safety (+VIDEO)

Volvo V40 model carries a fairly simple external airbag for pedestrian safety. Its front bumper sensor detects the impact and the flexibility of an object hit against it and a flexible object inflates the airbag at the lower end of the widescreen. Bad thing the external airbag gets activated only for people over 2 feet 7 inch high, good thing it protects the pedestrians over this height limit from smacking against the widescreen and other metallic portions of the car.
