Scientists Master Super-Fast Graphene Microchips

Scientists from the University of California Riverside have found a way to create super-fast transistors out of graphene. They’ve had to completely re-examine how chips are put together to develop the technology, which uses an unusual phenomenon to raise or lower the voltage passing through the chip instead of simply switching on or off like a traditional transistor. The result is technology 50 times faster than the best chips available today.
