LeapReader Makes Learning Process Exciting For Kids
The LeapReader, an innovative pen-like device designed by the LeapFrog, follows from the Tag Reading System. It is a great helper for parents in teaching four to eight year olds to recognize and say letters or words, and to write them. The device functions with a library that comprises more than 150 reading, activity and audio books. Users touch letters and words in the specially printed books with the tip of the pen to hear the sounds letters make and how words are pronounced. Children have to follow simple vocal instructions via the built-in speaker to trace letters in the work books and they’re rewarded with flashing lights, sounds or words of encouragement. The LeapReader pen only writes on the special “mess-free” paper, so your walls and wallpapers will stay clean. This device is compatible with most Tag books, has enough storage space to hold the audio required for up to 40 books, or 175 songs. Content is managed by connecting the pen via USB to a Mac or PC running the LeapFrog Connect Application for LeapReader. The LeapReader will be retailed in June for US$50.
