Lamborghini Veneno, A Unique Limited Edition Model
This year Lamborghini celebrates its 50th anniversary and in this connection the company has presented a unique limited edition model, the Lamborghini Veneno, at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The trilogy made of three unique vehicles will be produced in the course of the year 2013 and handed over to their future owners (all three units have already been sold). The cost of this gorgeous vehicle equals to three million Euros plus tax. The car’s name originates from a legendary fighting bull, one of the fastest and most aggressive fighting bulls in the history of bullfighting. Its design boasts total aerodynamics and stability, giving the Veneno the real dynamic experience of a racing prototype, yet it is meant for the road. Its weight is about 1,450 kgs and the new development extensively utilizes carbon-fiber materials, with the complete chassis produced as a CFRP. With a maximum output of 552 kW / 750 hp, the Lamborghini Veneno speeds up from 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and the top speed for this street-legal racing car is 355 km/h. The car features a twelve-cylinder power unit with a displacement of 6.5 liters, an extremely fast-shifting 7-speed ISR transmission with 5 driving modes and permanent all-wheel drive, as well as a racing chassis with pushrod suspension and horizontal spring/damper units. The Veneno is undoubtedly a Lamborghini; it sticks firmly to the consistent design philosophy of all the super sports cars. It becomes apparent due to the extreme proportions, as well as the powerfully arrow-shaped front end and the interplay between razor-sharp lines and precise surfaces.
