The GoSleep pods are cocoon-like mini-hotels designed for Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC). Thanks to this invention, international travelers will get a chance to have a nap at individual sleeping quarters while waiting for their flights for about US$12.25 an hour. The pods feature a compact design with a chair that converts into a flat bed and a roller blind to enclose it and provide privacy. Ten GoSleep pods have been already installed at the Abu Dhabi International Airport and 35 more are to be installed later this year. Designers plan to upgrade the pods in the nearest future with internet access, secure storage for luggage and charging points of for electronic devices.
