Earthscraper: Inverted Pyramid In Mexico City
BNKR Arquitectura has made a proposal to build an inverted Aztec pyramid or “Earthscraper” in the very center of the historic part of Mexico City. A 1,000 foot long upturned pyramid is rooted into the ground, where a city is layered 65 stories (300 m) deep. The structure’s glass roof on the ground level covers the habitable space around the perimeter of the void; the first ten stories are to house museums and tourist attractions, commercial stores, residence and offices.
