Ondrej Jirec, a design student at the Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, CA, presents a conceptual and extreme project, the Lamborghini Perdigón concept. The idea behind the project was to create a top-of-the-line model, built in a very limited series of 20 units with the goal of being a competitor to the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. As the author explains, design theme throughout the whole vehicle body features very sharp, angled and polygonal surfacing; this is combined with highly 3D proportions. The Lamborghini Perdigón concept is aerodynamically sound and is inspired from stealth fighter jets. The hi-tech look is enhanced by the exposed carbon fiber texture and by many aeronautic-inspired details, such as the large air intake at the base of the windshield, which supplies air cooling for the transmission and the engine.
