The Blob: An Outstanding Piece Of Modern Architecture In Eindhoven
The Blob is a futuristic building located in Eindhoven’s old city center, which is known for its mix of technology, design and culture. This modern 5-story structure made of organic glass and concrete was designed by the Italian architect Massimiliano Fuksas. The spacious 10,000-square-foot interior is in fact the entrance to a large commercial center. Being wrapped in a freestanding glass and steel skin, the building gets plenty of natural light. There are two smaller shelters designed in the similar style nearby, which serve as the entrance to the underground bike parking lot for over 1,700 bikes.
