Zhu Jingxuan (Donghua University, China), with the help of Sony’s Student Design Workshop has created a device to confine the aroma of food on a postcard. The ‘food printer’ takes the picture with a camera and collects the aroma with a smell extractor at the same time. The postcard is then printed with aroma ink. Jingxuan recollects: “We worked with 10 Sony designers for nine days and nights. We discussed everything about our designs in a very detailed way. They were hard days but happy days.”
