It’s a matter of common knowledge that nowadays robots have replaced humans in the assistance of performing a number of repetitive and dangerous tasks which humans prefer not to do, or are unable to do due to size limitations, or even such as in outer space or at the bottom of the sea where humans could not survive the extreme environments. But have they gone so far as to replace humans in pleasurable activities as well, for instance in dancing? Virginia Tech’s five-foot tall humanoid robot CHARLI-2 is apparently good at dancing, especially when it comes to Gangnam style. None the less it is not what the robot has been initially designed for. Generally CHARLI-2 is an extremely advanced robot in terms of software, task performing and the Navy uses this humanoid robot for research on its ability to fight fires.
