Gansevoort Marine Transfer Station and Environmental Center by Nicole Robertson and Richard Garber from GRO Architects is to recycle glass, plastic and metal simultaneously providing an opportunity for the public to watch the process. The roof of this construct is shaped undulating to attract migratory birds and provide appealing looks. The station is designed for the smooth transfer of the recyclable material from trucks to the barge.
