Plastic Nanofibers To Self-Assemble And Conduct Electricity

conductive plastic nanofibers, future material
A research team leaded by Nicolas Giuseppone and Bernard Doudin created plastic nanofibers that are highly conductive and under the influence of light and a solution can self-assemble into minute fibers that comprise of several thousand molecules. The scientists then started an electric field between gold electrodes and noted that fibers were self-assembled between them provoked by light. The discovered nanofibers have electric properties similar to those of metals simultaneously being light and flexible like plastics. That can be the future of compounds for miniature electronic devices.
