The robot snake developed by engineers at Britain’s OC Robotics could help doctors detect cancer and remove hard-to-reach tumors in a non-invasive way. It is being inserted into your body and will be guided by a surgeon, enabling him to look and “feel” inside the body through the clever implementation of cameras and sensitive equipment to provide feedback. Though at the moment the robot snake is only a prototype, researchers are very optimistic regarding its potentially non-invasive qualities.
