New Thermoelectric Material: Future Technologies Reviewed

New Thermoelectric Material, Future Technology
Researchers from Chinese Academy of Science’s Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Caltech and University of Michigan have deepened the knowledge on Copper Selenium material substantially. This may influence our whole understanding of heat engines effectiveness.

Copper Selenium shows ability to conduct thermoelectric generation better than any other material on the planet. This material demonstrates qualities of solid when conducting electricity and of liquid when it comes to transferring heat. Used in heating systems of solar power and electric cars it could give a colossal efficiency boost.
