Full 3D Virtual Chat Via Telepod (+VIDEO)

telepod, 3d hologram
Team from Human Media Lab at the Canadian Queens University created the tubular cylinder dubbed as the Telepod holding a 3D image of a person you are talking to. This 3D projection is created with 10 kinects, four of which are to be placed in the room where 3D images will be cast. As the image is a real 3D, you may view a telecast person from all sides and walk around them. On the dull side of this bright news is that this system can be used in the room that has all the installation only. Another limitation so far is only one person will be able to see the 3D image at a time.
