Textron Defense Systems has lately unveiled a flying drone, dubbed BattleHawk Squad Level Loitering Munition. This compact flying bomb is designed to explode upon contact with enemy positions. It will feature an integrated video camera in its nose, enabling you to see its direction, thus ground troops could pilot it remotely to attack hiding enemy forces. The drone will be fitted out with a 40mm high-fragmentation charge; a built-in spring will help propel it into the air, where the electric motor will then start the rear propeller. The drone is meant for attacking dismounted enemies and can travel at up to 60mph to its target with a maximum flight time of 30 minutes.
