A solar charging station for electric cars named ‘’Solar Sail’ was completed as part of Renewable Energy Industrial Park in Pflugerville, Texas, USA. The company Pvilion used their patent pending technology to integrate the flexible photovoltaic modules and stainless steel. Pflugerville Community Development Corporation intends the solar station to provide electricity to the city when the cars are not being charged. One of the Pvilion founders and its CEO Colin Touhey states that the cost of Solar Sail to be around US$ 85,000 and the design can be customized to various clients needs.
