Downdraft Wind And Solar Energy Tower (+VIDEO)

downdraft energy tower
Patented back in 1975 by Phillip Carlson, the downdraft energy tower is a structure generating clean power through wind turbines and solar heated air. Dr Ramu Guetta and Prof Dan Zaslavsky of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology decided to offer the residents of the boundary area with a clean energy alternative. Clean Wind Energy Tower, Inc (CWET) is the company that has proposed to build two of such structures. The towers will stand 3,000 feet tall attempting to give back to the environment. In a hollow tower, solar heated air is sprayed with water at the top of the structure, making the air denser and heavier and drives installed wind turbines to generate electricity.
