The usual blood tests in labs are rather expensive and need much of your time. The innovative volumetric bar-chart chip, or V-Chip for short, can do 50 different blood tests in seconds for just $10. It works by sucking a drop of blood through a zig-zag channel in between two small glass plates. There are 50 different wells above the channel, each of which contains hydrogen peroxide, a dye, an enzyme, and then whatever sorts of antibodies or proteins or DNA or RNA. The results can be read like a bar graph, using a handy scale on the side of the V-Chip. Of course, this simple technology will not replace accurate lab testing, though it might be rather helpful in some urgent situations like OverDose to determine what kind of drug someone has just taken.
