The idea of floating houses is not new, however it stays popular and has again come renewed by a designer Tom Pearce. His floating home concept Crescasa Houseboat is actually a small residence with two bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. Among the goodies of this housing is an extensible rear platform to be used as a solid open space for work, recreation of eco-friendly gardening. Waste can be turned into biofuel and used to run the engine and provide electricity to the boat-house. Almost forgot to mention that this small house is constructed from bamboo, hemp and composite materials assuring
its sustainability and lightweight.
