Augmented Reality Headset To Substitute Doctors In Open Space

The European Space Agency came up with an augmented reality headset that would help astronauts act like a doctor or even a surgeon. The new system consists of an ultrasound tool and two stereo displays. The ultrasound gizmo utilizes an infrared camera and markers placed on a patient’s body where necessary. Then through the headset a user can straighten the markers on the patient with the virtual human body with the help of 3D augmented reality cue cards. This innovative apparatus is meant to help astronauts diagnose internal bleedings, breakages, and other traumas.
