The Hiriko Fold, a super compact 2-passenger electric car, has been specially designed for city driving. The main higlights of this vehicle are that it easily folds upright to fit into tight parking spaces and can ride up to 75 miles between charges. The Hiriko Fold boasts first-class manoeuvrability due to zero-turn radius wheels, which allow it to move sidewards, making parallel parking a piece of cake. The MIT’s Changing Places group and DENOKINN expect to launch the vehicle’s commercial production in 2013, in the meantime some models of the Hiriko Fold are on trial in European cities.
