A New Breathing Sensor System Will Prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
A team from the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration IZM in Berlin has designed an innovative breathing sensor system. It features a stretchable printed circuit board made of polyurethane that fits to the contours of the body. This system might be imbedded in crawlers and alert parents, when their child stops breathing, thus preventing Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
